How to Clean an Oven with Baking Soda, Dish Soap & Vinegar

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • Vinegar
  • Measuring cups
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Nylon brush
  • Sponge
  • Gloves

Shop from all cleaning tools and supplies.

Procedure

  • Step 1. Put on gloves - Put on kitchen-grade cleaning gloves to keep your hands dry.
  • Step 2. Mix the solution together - Add 1½ cups baking soda, ½ cup dish soap and ¼ cup of vinegar to a bowl. Mix all ingredients into a paste.
  • Step 3. Remove the oven racks and add the paste - Remove the oven racks. Then, apply the paste to the inside of the oven with a nylon brush.
  • Step 4. Let the paste sit - Let the paste sit for at least an hour.
  • Step 5. Rinse the paste - Wipe down the interior with a dampened sponge to clean and remove the paste.
