How to Replace a Jackson DishStar HT-E Chemical Pump Squeeze Tube
Supplies Needed:
- Philips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Needle-nose pliers
- 7/16 socket wrench
- Side cutter
- Zip ties
- Rubber gloves
- Safety goggles
Procedure
- Step 1. Turn off the unit - Power down the unit by switching off the circuit breaker.
- Step 2. Access the chemical feed pumps - Using a 7/16 socket wrench, remove the two screws on the front of the kick panel. Open the panel to access the chemical feed pumps.
- Step 3. Remove the faceplate - Find the face plate covering the tube that needs to be replaced. Using a screwdriver, remove the faceplate then gently slide the tube out of the rear pump housing.
- Step 4. Disconnect the lines and remove tubes - Clip the zip ties on the incoming and outgoing lines, then disconnect both lines to remove the tubes.
- Step 5. Connect the new squeeze tube - Connect the new squeeze tube to each of the chemical lines.
- Step 6. Seal the lines - Use zip ties to seal the lines. Tighten with needle-nose pliers and then clip off the excess.
- Step 7. Press squeeze tube into the channel - Press the new squeeze tube into the channel in the rear pump housing. To help position the tube properly, the rollers can be removed and replaced, or rotated as necessary.
- Step 8. Reinstall the face plate and kick panel - Replace the face plate and secure it with four screws. Then, close and secure the kick panel.
- Step 9. Turn the unit back on - Restore power at the circuit breaker.
- Step 10. Prime the lines - Press and hold the “1” button for the detergent line, and the “2” button for the rinse aid line to prime the lines.
