Besides the standard daily cleaning, commercial refrigeration requires some extra TLC to keep it running in peak condition. That’s why Parts Town is here to go over the Beverage-Air Horizon series condenser coil cleaning procedure so you can keep your equipment in working order.
The following guide is applicable to Horizon series reach-in refrigerator or freezer models.
The condenser should be checked monthly and cleaned as needed.
Step 1. Power down the unit - Use the controller to turn off the unit.
Step 2. Remove the panel - Slide the front panel off by lifting it upwards.
Step 3. Clean up dust - Use a vacuum to clean up dust and debris from the condenser.
Step 4. Clean off grease - Use a bristle brush to remove grease and grime.
Note. Brush up and down to avoid damaging the fins.
Step 5. Inspect the coils - Adjust bent coil fins and check for any damages.
