The gasket on your Beverage-Air undercounter refrigeration unit provides a vital seal to keep food and drinks fresh for your bar or commercial kitchen. Upholding regular maintenance on your gasket is a must to ensure that your food items stay at the right temperature and to help keep your unit running as it should. 

Supplies Needed:

  • Step 1—Check all 4 sides of the gasket for any tears, rips, stiffness or cracks. These signs of damage mean that the gasket should be replaced ASAP.
  • Step 2—Clean the gasket with a cleaning cloth, warm water and mild detergent.
  • Step 3—Remove any stains or rust with a scrub pad, warm water and mild detergent.
  • Step 4—Rinse and dry the gasket with a dry cleaning cloth.

Beverage-Air Undercounter Refrigerator Gasket Replacement

It’s recommended that you should replace the gasket quarterly or as-needed on your undercounter refrigeration unit.

  • Step 1—Check all 4 sides of the gasket for any tears, rips, stiffness or cracks. These signs of damage mean that the gasket should be replaced ASAP.
  • Step 2—Remove the old gasket from the door. 
  • Step 3—Place the new gasket in the sink and soak it in warm water for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 4—Dry the new gasket with a cleaning cloth.
  • Step 5—Find the dart on the new gasket.
  • Step 6—Snap the new gasket onto the door. Make sure you clean the trench line prior to installing the gasket.
