Your standard cleaning of a commercial ice machine system isn’t enough to keep it running efficiently. Additional maintenance is a must to ensure your unit runs for years to come. So what extra needs to be done to the unit? It’s important to regularly be cleaning a Follet countertop ice machine condenser coil. This will keep the unit operating in peak condition.
The following steps are applicable to 7 and 15 series models, such as the 15CI100A and 7CI100A.
Condenser Cleaning
The condenser coil of a Follet 7 and 15 series ice machine should be cleaned at least every 6 months.
Step 1. Take off the panels - Remove the front and top panels.
Step 2. Take off the side panel - Using a screwdriver, remove the right side panel to cover the condenser coil.
Step 3. Clean the condenser - Use a bristle brush or vacuum to carefully clean the condenser coil.
Step 4. Inspect the coil - Check the condenser coil for damaged fins that need to be repaired by a service technician.
Step 5. Reassemble the unit - Reinstall the right side, top and front panels.
