Dormont Gas Hose Maintenance Instructions

- Step 1. Disconnect the hose by following the manual or our disconnecting and reconnecting video - Detach the hose by following the instructions in the owner’s manual, our instructional video or our full-length guide. Be sure to close either the manual shutoff valve or Safety Quik valve before disconnecting.
- Step 2. Clean dust and debris behind the appliance with a broom or mop - Sweep or mop the area behind the unit to remove dust and debris. If you need more space, pull the unit away from the wall before beginning.
- Step 3. Use dish soap and water to clean up any grease or grime behind the unit - Wash the back of the unit with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth before rinsing and drying the surface. Be careful not to get any cleaners or chemicals on the gas hose or connectors.
- Step 4. Wipe the restraining cable with a damp cloth - Maintain the restraining cable by cleaning it with warm water and a soft cloth.
- Step 5. Inspect the gas connector and fittings on the hose for any damages - Check the gas connector and fittings for damage; if you notice any excessive wear, contact an authorized technician to address the issue.
- Step 6. Rinse the gas hose with a damp cloth and thoroughly dry it with a separate cloth - Wipe away any dust or debris on the hose with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry it with a clean cloth.
