Electrolux Professional Hood-Type Dishwasher Troubleshooting

Getting dishes clean, sanitized and dry are an essential part of keeping commercial kitchens functioning. Keeping your dishwasher in working condition must be a top priority so that you can keep serving meals. Below we will help you with any Electrolux Professional hood-type dishwasher troubleshooting that you might run into.

Hood-Type Dishwasher Leaking

  • No dish rack in the machine - If the dish machine doesn’t have the dish rack, this can cause leakage. Place a dish rack into the machine to resolve the issue.
  • Lower wash manifold isn’t rotating - To resolve this issue, remove the manifold from the dishwasher. Wash it carefully and then place it back in the dishwasher.
  • Door isn’t closed completely - If the door doesn’t completely close, there is probably an obstruction blocking it. Remove the obstruction and close the door.
  • Door is out of adjustment - A door out of adjustment needs to be fixed by a technician. Contact a local authorized technician to make these repairs.

Dishes Aren’t Getting Clean

  • Dishes not scraped - Make sure to scrape off food products before loading dishes into the machine.
  • Wash arms are clogged - Check the wash jets and make sure they aren’t clogged with solid food debris.
  • Wash arms not installed correctly - Remove the wash arms and insert them back in correctly.
  • Dishes not loaded correctly - Make sure that all the dishes are loaded correctly and placed in the racks.
  • Incorrect detergent dose - Call the detergent and rinse aid service center.
  • Detergent pump isn’t working - Call the detergent and rinse aid service center.
  • Wash tank suction filter is dirty - Thoroughly clean the wash tank suction filter and make sure there is no debris stuck in it.

Dishes are Not Drying Properly

  • Rinse aid is empty - Make sure that the rinse-aid isn’t empty and fill it up if possible.
  • Rinse aid pump isn’t working -  If the pump is broken or malfunctioning, you’ll need to call the detergent and rinse aid service center.
  • Rinse water temperature too low - Check if the rinse water temperature is between 82℃ - 90℃. If it isn’t at the right temperature, call the detergent and rinse aid service center.
  • Foamy detergent in the wash tank - Only “non-foaming“ detergent products should be used for professional dishwashers.

Dishwasher Doesn’t Start

  • Dishwasher not plugged in - If the dishwasher isn’t starting or turning on, check that the machine is plugged into a functional power outlet.
  • Circuit breaker tripped - Check that the circuit breaker hasn’t been tripped if the machine isn’t turning on. It should be in the ON position.

Condensation on Glasses

  • Rinse aid is empty - Make sure that the rinse-aid isn’t empty and fill it up if possible.
  • Rinse aid pump doesn’t work - If the pump is broken or malfunctioning, you’ll need to call the detergent and rinse aid service center.

  • Foaming detergent is in wash tank - Only “non-foaming“ detergent products should be used for professional dishwashers.
  • Too much rinse aid - Reduce the amount of rinse-aid. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, contact the detergent and rinse aid service center.
  • Water hardness is too high or low - Try to adjust the amount of detergent and rinse aid to help with this problem.
