Safely thawing product requires working equipment. Otherwise, poultries and meats will be at risk for bacteria growth. If you notice your unit isn’t turning on or maintaining the right temperature, there could be a simple fix to remedy it. Not Working or Cooling

  • The power cord is unplugged - Plug in the unit.
    • Note: Ensure the power cord isn’t damaged and needs to be replaced before connecting. 
  • The unit is turned off - Use the controller to turn it on.
  • Interior temperature is too high - Adjust the thermostat
  • Door is ajar or frequently opened - Ensure the door is securely shut and avoid opening it too often. 
  • Unit is near warm side equipment - Relocate the unit to be away from ovens, fryers and other hot side units. 
    • Note: Creating zones in your commercial kitchen can help avoid this issue in the future.
  • Unit is noisy - There is two possible remedies to this. First adjust the caster wheels and then verify the unit isn’t touching other equipment or parts. 
  • Air baffle isn’t seated properly - Reinstall the baffle to ensure its properly installed.
  • Product isn’t properly loaded - Consult the user manual to ensure product is properly loaded to allow good airflow within the unit.
  • Gasket is damaged or dirty - Clean or replace the gasket
  • Circuit breaker is off or tripped - Turn on or reset the breaker.
