How Do You Take Apart a Nemco Tomato Slicer
Nemco has a few different models of slicers, and the steps to taking them apart are slightly different for each unique type. Easy Tomato & Cartridge Tomato Slicers
Disassembly
- Step 1. Remove the slide stop - Loosen the thumbscrews to remove the slide stop at the back end of the unit.
- Step 2. Remove the pusher - Pull the pusher assembly all the way down and off the slide board to remove it.
Reassembly
- Step 1. Install the pusher - Slide the pusher assembly onto the slide board
- Step 2. Reinstall the slide stop - Position the slide stop at the end of the board and secure it with the thumbscrews.
Roma Tomato Slicers
Disassembly
- Step 1. Remove the ring pins – You’ll have to remove the ring pins from the blade holder to uninstall the cartridge blade assembly. The ring pins are located on either side of the handle.
- Step 2. Uninstall the cartridge blade assembly – With the ring pins set aside, you can slip out the blade assembly from the blade holder.
- Step 3. Remove the cradle assembly – Now, remove the cradle assembly by lifting it from the back and sliding it forward.
Reassembly
- Step 1. Install the cradle assembly - Reinstall the cradle assembly by putting it back into position and sliding it in place.
- Step 2. Reinstall the blade assembly - Slide the blade assembly back into the holder.
- Step 3. Reinstall the ring pins - Secure the blade assembly in the holder by reinstall the ring pins on either side of the handle.
