How to Clean a Lang Convection Oven

Supplies:
- Heat resistant gloves
- Oven cleaner
- Cleaning cloths
- Sponges
- Stainless steel cleaner
- Dish soap
Oven Cleaning
- Step 1. Disconnect from power - Turn the power off and unplug the unit from any electrical source. Wait for it to cool down before continuing and wear heat resistant gloves for added safety precaution.
- Step 2. Remove accessories - Remove any racks and pans from the oven cavity.
- Step 3. Add oven cleaner - Spray or apply oven cleaner inside the oven and on the door interior, making sure not to spray cleaner on fans, elements or light bulbs. Let the oven cleaner sit as long as the cleaner instructions recommend.
- Step 4. Wipe off cleaner - After waiting the recommended amount of time, use a damp sponge or cloth to wipe off the cleaner.
- Step 5. Dry off interior - Use a clean, dry cloth to dry off the interior of the oven.
- Step 6. Clean exterior - Clean the oven exterior with a stainless steel cleaner and cloth, making sure to wipe with the grain.
- Step 7. Clean pans and racks - At a sink, wash the pans and racks with dish soap and a sponge.
- Step 8. Rinse and dry pans and racks - Thoroughly rinse off the pans and racks with water. Dry all the pans and racks with a clean cloth.
- Step 9. Reinstall racks and pans - Reinstall all the racks and pans into the convection oven.
Cooktop Cleaning
Cleaning the cooktop can vary depending on the unit, so make sure to check your model’s manual before cleaning.
- Hot plates - Wipe surface with a cleaning cream and cloth.
- Griddles - After use, while the griddle is still hot, use a scraper to wipe away debris. Then use a griddle stone to clean. Always make sure to wear heat resistant gloves when cleaning a griddle
