How to Clean a Nitro Brew Dispenser System
A brew dispenser system should be cleaned every time the tank is changed or before extended inactivity. When the time comes to get your system cleaned out and ready to go again, learn how to clean a nitro brew dispenser system properly with our helpful guide.
Supplies:
- Bucket
- Drying towel
- Cloth
- Warm potable water with OEM cleaner
- Soap and warm water solution
Cleaning a Nitro Brew Dispenser System
- Step 1. Turn off the power, then turn off the nitrogen by turning the handle clockwise and pulling up on the release valve.
- Step 2. Clean the faucet with warm soapy water and a cloth.
- Step 3. Remove the nose cone from the tap head for cleaning.
- Step 4. Soak the nose cone in the cleaning solution for at least 5 minutes.
- Note: Follow the directions on the packet for proper solution ratio.
- Step 5. Unscrew the cap on the infuser filter and take out the filter.
- Step 6. Rinse the infuser cap and filter with warm potable water, then reinstall the infuser filter and cap.
- Step 7. Clean the keg with warm soapy water and rinse.
- Step 8. Fill the keg with the cleaning solution, following the ratio on the packet.
- Step 9. Attach the hoses to the keg and open the nitrogen valve to pressurize the system.
- Step 10. Place a bucket under the tap.
- Step 11. Pull the tap until a ½ gallon of solution is dispensed, then close the faucet. Repeat with the other tap.
- Step 12. Allow the rest of the cleaning solution to remain in the system for 5 minutes.
- Step 13. Pull the tap until a ¼ gallon of solution is dispensed, then close the faucet. Repeat with the other tap.
- Step 14. Remove the lid from the keg and allow it to air dry.
