How to Clean a Perlick Dual-Zone Refrigeration Unit
It’s vital to tidy up commercial refrigerators to keep the unit running properly and avoid spills causing cross contamination of other product. Everything from the interior, exterior and condenser coil needs regular maintenance. This guide is here to walk you through how to clean a Perlick dual-zone refrigeration unit for both the fridge itself as well as the condenser.

- Cloth
- Dish soap
- Sponge
- Water
- Stainless steel cleaner
- Bristle brush
- Vacuum
How to Clean
Be sure to relocate product to another refrigerator before cleaning.
- Step 1. Power down the unit - Turn off and unplug the unit. If there are organization racks added to it, be sure to remove them as well.
- Step 2. Clean the interior - Wash, rinse and dry out the interior of the drawers with a cloth or sponge and soapy water.
- Step 3. Clean the exterior - Use a soft cloth and stainless steel cleaner to clean the exterior.
- Step 4. Clean the gasket - Inspect the gasket for damages and then clean it with soapy water and a cloth.
- Note. If the gasket is damaged, replace it.
How to Clean the Condenser Coil
Besides just cleaning the refrigerator itself, the condenser coil needs to be cleaned at least every 30-90 days.
- Step 1. Power down the unit - Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
- Step 2. Take off the cover - Remove the front grill cover from the bottom of the unit.
- Step 3. Clean the condenser - Use a bristle brush to remove dust and debris from the condenser coil.
- Note. A vacuum can also be used to clean up any dust and dirt.
- Step 4. Reinstall the cover - Reinstall the front grill cover.
