How to Clean a Turbochef Bullet Daily

It’s recommended to clean the Turbochef bullet daily after use. This helps ensure it doesn’t get caked in stuck-on grease and food. The following are the daily cleaning instructions:

  1. Turn off the oven - The power button can be found on the unit’s touchscreen to turn it off.
  2. Cool off the unit - The unit needs time to cool down in order to safely begin cleaning. Let the unit cool off by opening the door and putting an oven-safe tray of ice inside.
  3. Remove oven cavity components - Inside the oven, there is a baking stone and jetplate that need to be removed from the oven.
  4. Remove the filter - At the back of the oven, there is an air filter that can be removed by sliding it up and out.
  5. Clean the baking stone - Dry scrub the baking stone with a scouring pad to clean off any baked-on food particles.
  6. Clean the jetplate - The jetplate can be washed at a sink using soap, water and a soft cloth.
  7. Clean the filter - Rinse off the air filter with hot water.
  8. Dry the filter and jetplate - Set the jetplate and air filter aside to air dry for about 15-30 minutes or until completely dry.
  9. Clean up food particles - Use a vacuum or damp towel to remove large food particles from the oven cavity.
  10. Clean the oven cavity - Use Turbochef oven cleaner and a soft cloth to clean out the oven cavity.
  11. Reinstall cleaned components - After ensuring they’re dry, reinstall the jetplate, baking stone and air filter.
  12. Clean the exterior - Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the unit.
  13. Clean the panel tray - Remove the bottom panel tray and wipe it down with a damp cloth.

Quarterly TurboChef Bullet Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance Tips

Besides the daily cleaning of the unit, it needs to be maintained quarterly to keep the unit running efficiently.

  1. Power down the unit - Unplug the power cord and allow the unit to cool off before beginning maintenance on it.
  2. Remove the filter - At the back of the oven, there is an air filter that can be removed by sliding it up and out.
  3. Clean the fan guards - Use a bristle brush or vacuum to clean off the cooling fan finger guards.
  4. Clean the side louvers - Use a bristle brush and vacuum to clean away dust and debris from the side louvers.
  5. Clean the exterior - Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior and back panel.
