How to Clean a Uline Joetap Nitro Brew Dispenser System
Beverage dispensers require cleaning inside and out. While you might think cleaning the cabinet is enough, it goes a little deeper than that. The interior of the faucet and tubing need to be cleaned as well or it leaves the risk of a not so delicious tasting drink being poured. We’ll show you how to clean a Uline Joetap nitro brew dispenser system so you can ensure every beverage is a good one. This process should typically be done every time the tank is changed or before extended inactivity.

Cleaning the Dispenser System
On top of the routine interior and exterior cleaning of the dispenser, we need to flush out the system.
- Step 1. Turn off the nitrogen - While the unit is powered down, turn off the nitrogen by turning the handle clockwise and pulling up on the release valve.
- Step 2. Wash the faucets - Use warm soapy water and a cloth to clean the faucets.
- Step 3. Take off the cone - Remove the nose cone from the tap head for deeper cleaning.
- Step 4. Clean the cones - Soak the nose cones in a cleaning solution of warm potable water and OEM approved cleaner for at least 5 minutes.
- Note. Follow the packet directions for proper solution ratio.
- Step 5. Remove the filter - Unscrew the cap on the infuser filter and take out the filter.
- Step 6. Clean the filter - Rinse the infuser cap and filter with warm potable water. Then reinstall them and the nose cones onto the unit.
- Step 7. Clean the keg - Use warm, soapy water to clean the keg and then rinse it.
- Step 8. Add solution to keg - Fill the key with the cleaning solution, following the ratio instructions on the packet.
- Step 9. Connect the keg - Attach the hoses to the keg. Then open the nitrogen valve to pressurize the system.
- Step 10. Set a bucket under the faucet - Place a bucket under the taps.
- Step 11. Use the faucet to dispense - Pull the tap until a ½ gallon of solution is dispensed. Then close the faucet and repeat with the other tap.
- Step 12. Wait - Allow the rest of the cleaning solution to remain in the system for 5 minutes.
- Step 13. Dispense again - Pull the tap until a ¼ gallon of solution is dispensed. Then close the faucet and repeat with the other tap.
- Step 14. Dry the keg - Remove the lid from the keg and allow it to air dry.
