How to Clean an APW Wyott Hot Dog Steamer

Your APW Wyott hot dog steamer works long hours in your commercial kitchen, and regular cleanings are a must to keep it working efficiently. Not only that, but it’s necessary for maintaining proper hygiene. Learn how to clean your APW Wyott hot dog steamer with our easy-to-follow guide.

Cleaning Instructions

  • Step 1—Turn off the hot dog steamer unit.
  • Step 2—Unplug the unit, and open the cabinet door to allow the unit to fully cool down.
  • Step 3—Remove the drain cap, and drain out the water from the cabinet.
  • Step 4—Remove the tray, basket and support shelf from the unit and set aside.
  • Step 5—Wash the tray, basket and support shelf with mild detergent and water. Thoroughly rinse and dry.
  • Step 6—Using a sponge or cleaning cloth, wash the interior with mild detergent and water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Step 7—Clean the exterior stainless steel surface with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner.
  • Step 8—Place the tray, basket and support shelf back into the unit.
