How to Clean an Undercounter Refrigerator & Freezer

Supplies
- Sponge
- Cleaning cloths
- Water
- Mild detergent
- Stainless steel cleaner
- Nylon brush
Cleaning Instructions
Both the interior and exterior of the unit need to be cleaned regularly.
Exterior Cleaning
This procedure needs to be done daily.
- Step 1. Use a sponge and mild detergent to clean the unit exterior.
- Note: Don’t use chlorine cleaning solutions.
- Step 2. Rinse the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Note: Dry the exterior with a separate cloth.
- Step 3. Polish the exterior with a cloth and stainless steel cleaner at least once a week.
Interior Cleaning
This procedure should be performed weekly.
- Step 1. Clear out all product from the unit and turn off the thermostat.
- Note: Store product in another refrigerator or freezer.
- Step 2. Remove the shelves from the unit interior.
- Step 3. Clean the interior surfaces with mild detergent, warm water and a sponge or nylon brush.
- Step 4. Wipe down the door gasket with a cloth dampened in water and mild detergent.
- Step 5. Use a damp cloth to rinse the interior and gasket. Then let it air dry.
