Cleaning & Sanitizing an Ice Storage Bin Instructions

Before you start the cleaning process, make sure to remove all ice from the bin and turn the ice machine off, if there’s one attached.

  • Step 1. Apply sanitizing solution to the door and bin surfaces.
  • Step 2. Wait 15 minutes for the sanitizer to loosen mineral deposits and disinfect the bin.
  • Step 3. Wipe down the bin’s door and interior with a clean cloth.
  • Step 4. Rinse the bin’s door and interior using a container of water, hose or dampened cloth.
  • Step 5. Dry the bin’s door and interior with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Step 6. Clean the exterior with warm water, mild dish soap and a cloth.
