How to Install a T&S Brass Hydrogenerator
T&S Brass hydrogenerators can only save water, money and energy when installed properly. Whether you have an above-deck or below-deck faucet, these instructions will outline how to retrofit a T&S Brass ChekPoint Sensor faucet with a hydrogenerator. This guide covers installation procedures for the EC-HYDROGEN and EC-HYDROGEN-LF models.
Supplies
- Adjustable wrench
Installation on an Above-Deck Faucet (Standard and Low-Flow Models)
- Step 1. Turn off the water supply.
- Step 2. Disconnect the cold water flex line from the check valve adapter. Leave the check valve adapter connected to the cold water supply stop.
- Step 3. Install the swivel coupling onto the check valve adapter.
- Step 4. Attach the hydrogenerator to the swivel coupling. Ensure the blue arrow on the side of hydrogenerator is pointing upwards.
- Step 5. Connect the hydrogenerator to the cold water flex line. Ensure all connections have been tightened.
- Step 6. Plug the hydrogenerator’s power cable into the wire connector coming from the bottom of the faucet.
- Step 7. Turn on the water supply and inspect all connections for leaks.
Installation on a Below-Deck Faucet (Standard Model)
- Step 1. Turn off the water supply.
- Step 2. Using an adjustable wrench, remove the mixing valve from the filter.
- Step 3. Install the swivel coupling onto the mixing valve’s top outlet
- Step 4. Attach the hydrogenerator to the swivel coupling. Ensure the blue arrow on the side of hydrogenerator is pointing upwards.
- Step 5. Connect the hydrogenerator to the filter. Ensure all connections have been tightened.
- Step 6. Plug the hydrogenerator’s power cable into the bottom of the control module. This is where the wall transformer previously was plugged in.
- Step 7. Turn on the water supply and inspect all connections for leaks.
Installation on a Below-Deck Faucet (Low-Flow Model)
- Step 1. Turn off the water supply
- Step 2. Remove the flex line from the outlet of the control module
- Step 3. Install the swivel coupling onto the control module’s outlet
- Step 4. Attach the low-flow hydrogenerator to the swivel coupling. Ensure the blue arrow on the side of hydrogenerator is pointing upwards.
- Step 5. Connect the hydrogenerator to the faucet inlet hose. Ensure all connections have been tightened.
- Step 6. Plug the hydrogenerator’s power cable into the bottom of the control module. This is where the wall transformer previously was plugged in.
- Step 7. Turn on the water supply and inspect all connections for leaks.
