How to Install Garland Xpress Clamshell Grill Release Material Sheets
The release sheets are vital on commercial cooking equipment in order to keep product from sticking to platens, conveyors and more. While it may seem like an extra chore to attach, it’s actually quite easy and can save a lot of time with cleaning up later. This guide will walk you through how to install Garland Xpress clamshell grill release material sheets so you can create quality product without nearly as big of a mess. It’s recommended to replace these sheets if product starts sticking to them, carbon build up is causing issues with product quality, the sheet tears or if the material coating is worn off.
The following procedure is for Garland Xpress clamshell grills. This includes models such as XE36, XG24, and the XPE36.
Garland Xpress Clamshell Grill Release Material Sheet Installation
- Step 1. Raise the platen - Press the green button to raise the top platen.
- Step 2. Attach the sheet to the hook - Slide the release material hook through the tube end of the release material sheet.
- Step 3. Attach the hook to the platen - Hook the release material hook bar onto the anchor at the rear of the top platen.
- Step 4. Pull - Pull the release material sheet towards the front of the top platen.
- Step 5. Secure the sheet - Press the locking clip over the sheet and into the rod to secure it.
- Step 6. Finish attaching - Attach the remaining clips to the sheet and rod.
- Step 7. Inspect the sheet - Check the release material’s alignment and tightness against the upper platen and adjust as needed.
