Mixing accessories are essential to consistently blend doughs. The problem is, they can be easy to break if they aren’t properly used. With the help of a few tips, it can be easy to protect them from getting worn out or broken. Parts Town is here to show you how to maintain a Globe stand mixer dough hook or flat beater while you continue to make delicious product.

These instructions apply to most Globe stand mixers. This includes models such as the SP20 and SP30.

  • Tip 1: Keep your batch size at a reasonable level. Overfilling the bowl might seem like you get more product made but will lead to broken accessories. The mixing bowl should have an indicator line to follow for the best results.
  • Tip 2: Avoid using frozen ingredients in the bowl. It’ll be too hard for the flat beater or dough hook to properly mix. Instead, let product thaw before using it.
  • Tip 3: Be sure to perform regular preventative maintenance, such as applying grease once a year to the planetary ring.
