How to Remove & Attach Globe Mixer Accessories
From mixing bowls to guards, commercial mixing equipment has a lot of moving parts that can come on and off for proper cleaning and maintenance. How to Remove & Attach the Bowl on a Globe Stand Mixer
The mixing bowl can be separated from the mixer for cleaning or to make it easier to get dough out and on a prep table.
Removing the Bowl
- Step 1. Lower the lift - Rotate the bowl lift wheel counterclockwise until it stops.
- Step 2. Uninstall attachments - Remove any attachments from the planetary ring shaft.
- Step 3. Disengage pins - Unlock the locking pins on each side of the bowl.
- Step 4. Open the guard - Open the bowl guard by sliding it.
- Step 5. Remove the bowl - Lift the bowl by the handles and pull it away from the cradle.
Attaching the Bowl
- Step 1. Line up the stud - Position the stud on the back of the bowl into the rear opening.
- Step 2. Seat the bowl with the pins - Place the bowl onto each of the locking pins on both sides of the cradle.
- Step 3. Lock the bowl - Pull the clamps on each side of the bowl forward to lock the bowl in place.
How to Remove, Attach and Rotate a Globe Stand Mixer Bowl Guard
The bowl guard helps to keep splatters and product in the bowl. While it slides open with ease, removing and attaching is a little more work.
Removing the Bowl Guard
- Step 1. Lower the lift - Use the bowl-lift wheel to lower the bowl.
- Step 2. Take off agitator - Remove the agitator tool from the shaft.
- Step 3. Slide out - Push the lower part of the separated handle out in a counterclockwise motion.
- Note. Do this until the handle is divided.
- Step 4. Remove the guard - Hold the lower separated handle and turn the guard clockwise until the bowl guard releases.
Attaching the Bowl Guard
- Step 1. Position the guard - Line up the ring catch on the left of the mixer.
- Step 2. Slide the guard - Rotate the lower guard handle counterclockwise until it snaps into the upper guard handle.
- Step 3. Rotate the guard - Grasp the handles together to open or close the guard.
