How to Sear Shrimp

Searing Shrimp
- Tip 1. Always add the proper cooking oil to your pan or tilt skillet before adding the shrimp.
- Tip 2. Make sure each shrimp is lying flat in the skillet to ensure all pieces of shrimp gets time searing in the skillet or pan.
- Tip 3. Always start with dry shrimp so it isn’t watery and gets the proper seared finish.
- Tip 4. Cooking temperature will vary depending on the seasoning and marinade you use so be sure to consult your specific recipe for how high of heat to use.
- Tip 5. Halfway through the cooking time, you need to flip all the shrimps over to ensure an even sear on both sides.
- Tip 6. Large shrimp is better for searing with.
