Nemco Easy Cheeser Cutting Wire Replacement

Nemco Easy Cheeser makes cheese slicing a breeze. When the cutting wire becomes dull, it needs to be replaced. Learn the process in our step-by-step guide for an easy, safe replacement.

This replacement guide is applicable for the 55300A55300A-155300A-2N55300AN55300A-1 and N55300A-2 Easy Cheeser models.

  • Step 1—Remove the pin and cutting bow.
  • Step 2—Loosen all the screws securing the wire on the cutting bow. If needed, the cutting bow can be secured to the table with clamps.
  • Step 3—Carefully remove the old cutting wire. If you so choose, you can wear gloves to avoid injury.
  • Step 4—Loop the new wire over the first screw on the right (facing the operator). Leave an excess of 5” to the right of the screw. Then tighten the end bolts to secure.
  • Step 5—Loop the wire below the second screw and above the third, then tighten the screws to secure it.
  • Step 6—Loop the remaining wire around each of the screw posts across the whole cutting bow.
  • Step 7—When you reach the last two screws, loop the wire below both of them and tighten the screws.
  • Step 8—Put the excess wire on the right side over the screw on the tensioner, then tighten the screw.
  • Step 9—Use the tensioner to tighten the wire on the right side of the cutting bow.
  • Step 10—Loosen the tensioner screw to remove the wire.
  • Step 11—Repeat Steps 8-10 for the excess wire on the left side. You can repeat these steps on the left and right sides as needed until the cutting wire is fully tightened.
  • Step 12—Ensure all the screws on the cutting bow are tightened to secure the cutting wire.
  • Step 13—Reinstall the cutting bow and secure it with the pin.
