Nemco Fresh-O-Matic Troubleshooting
Countertop steamers from Nemco provide instant superheated steam to refresh buns, melt cheese and reheat precooked meats in seconds. When your steamer fails to inject steam or displays erratic water indicators, these Nemco Fresh-O-Matic troubleshooting tips can help you quickly restore operation and avoid unnecessary equipment downtime.
No Steam or Not Working
- Air is present in the line - Press the black "Steam" button while the unit is heated to prime the internal water pump and purge air.
- Unit isn't turned on - Turn on the unit.
- Steaming too soon or before unit is ready - Wait until the green "READY" indicator light turns solid before pressing the "Steam" button.
- Low water level in tank - Fill the internal water reservoir with distilled water until the green "FULL" indicator light illuminates.
- Holes in perforated tray have become plugged by product - Ensure you use a clean, unobstructed perforated tray to allow steam circulation.
- Note: If it's not clean, wash it with mild detergent and let it thoroughly dry.
Water on the Plate
- Water is on plate due to the "Steam" button being pressed too frequently or held down - Allow at least 30 seconds of recovery time between steam button presses.
Water Level Lights Aren't Lighting
- Distilled water used is too pure for the water sensor to register - Add up to 1 cup of standard tap water into the reservoir until the fill indicator lights activate.
