Troubleshooting TurboChef Bullet Fault Error Codes
A fault code is nothing to fear. These handy signals are designed to let you know there’s an issue with equipment that needs to be fixed. Each one means something different and has a designated fix. If you’re worried you can’t memorize them all, Parts Town has you covered. We’ll guide you through troubleshooting TurboChef Bullet fault codes so your speed oven can get back to work.
Error Code F1
This code displays if the blower motor is defective. However, in some cases, this also can signal if oven power has been interrupted. When the error appears, try the following:
- Verify the circuit breaker is on and reset as needed.
- Reset the unit by turning it off, waiting 2 minutes and then turning it back on. Once it powers up and heats up, try selecting the menu and setting a temperature.
If the error still shows up after resetting the circuit breaker or unit, the blower motor is the key culprit. This component will need to be repaired or replaced by an authorized technician.
Error Code F2
This code occurs due to a low cook temperature.
- Verify the circuit breaker is on and reset as needed.
- Open and close the door a few times before securely closing it.
- Reset the hi limit switch at the back of the unit.
Error Code F3 & F4
Both of these codes require contacting an authorized service technician as their fixes are more difficult. F3 signals a low magnetron current and F4 means the door monitor is defective.
Error Code F5 & F6
These codes are similar to fix. F5 means the magnetron is over temperature and F6 is EC temperature is high. The main cause for these codes is the unit not being able to get cool air.
- Check the side and rear panels to ensure nothing is blocking them. Verify equipment isn’t too close to the panels. Then clean the louvers with a brush as well.
- Clean the rear fans if any debris is present.
