Congratulations to Our 2023 Core Value Award Winners

Every year, Parts Town gives out the Core Value awards to team members who are nominated by their peers for living our core values of Safety, Integrity, Community, Passion, Courage and Innovation every day. Let’s meet our 2023 winners, and share some of their nominations.

Connie B

I nominate Connie B. for newcomer of the year. She joined Parts Town in early January and since joining the Training team, she’s had a positive impact on the DC. Connie regularly demonstrates Parts Town’s Core Values in all activities that she conducts. Always solution focused with a goal to provide support and improve the DC team member experience. Connie has also helped empower DC leaders through various workshops she has launched, partnering with subject matter experts from Talent, Data Analytics, etc. These workshops have helped grow awareness around the quality report, leveraged tools so leaders can better support their teams with Dayforce schedules, creating engagement and a sense of community with Microsoft forms. Connie always places others experience at the center of her plans and seeks to improve, empower, and engage learners.

Kyle A

Kyle truly lives by our core values, day in and day out. He is passionate about helping anyone he can and is always taking the time to go the extra mile to get the job done. He is honest and upfront with both our customers and members of his team. The patience he has, to help anyone in Service makes him one of the go-to leaders in our Segment. Kyle has really stepped up tremendously this year and gave his all to help support our segment especially during SAP go live. He came in early, helped with cut over, created additional training materials, gave one on one time for anyone struggling to learn SAP, stayed late to help support the closers and so much more. Kyle (Mr. Positive) deserves this award for living our core values and all that he does for Parts Town.

Jarred Y

Jarred is an amazing leader. He is easy to talk to and always makes his team feel appreciated and heard. Jarred is the go-to person overall of Inbound and single handedly keeps everything running. From conveyor issues to locating POs, Jarred is always on top of it. He is the Inbound Team’s Superman!

He is compassionate, understanding, funny and an overall great leader in our receiving department. Jarred makes coming into work even more enjoyable. He goes above and beyond to help his team members and he always does his job with passion.

Raven M

Raven is a great Supervisor. She is patient, helpful to everyone – a wonderful person inside and out. She works hard and has good intentions on everything. She also lets everyone know what is expected of them and what can be done to make improvements if necessary. She is a kind person and makes herself available to others. She listens to any concerns our team may have – on a professional level as well as a personal one. She knows her stuff and comes in smiling every day. She goes above and beyond and truly cares about her work and her team, and it shows. She is a great leader and stands by Parts Town’s core values.

Jimmy C

Jim has continually demonstrated his superior sales ability, maintaining and growing our relationships with manufacturers, and has been the go-to with questions from fellow coworkers across endless segments. Jim’s attention to detail and work ethic are truly inspiring. Parts Town’s core values are shown in all aspects of Jim’s performance, as he maintains a reliable and consistent outreach for our partners, customers, and team members. He approaches his work with integrity and a genuine care for those relationships he has developed over the years. He is committed to high quality and service, exuding pride in his work. Jim’s constant commitment to not only his customers but also his teammates has been exemplary.

Kayla R

Kayla took on a new role of Team Leader this year right before Go Live with SAP. The timing of it was crazy! However, she took this challenge and ran with it. She was there for her team every step of the way. She was even named a Super User. Kayla continues to shine every day as a Team Lead and continues to support her team in every way that she can. She is courageous enough to reach out if she thinks there is a problem but always tries to come up with a solution at the same time. Kayla truly wants to make sure that we are doing things the best way possible. Keep up the great work, Kayla!

Janelle M

Janelle is the ultimate VIP – a true shining star in the Service segment and at Parts Town overall. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who works as hard to take care of their team and customers as Janelle. She has the courage to speak up when something isn’t right and frequently comes up with new, innovative ways to support our customers. As one of our Culture Captains, Janelle’s passion for celebrating our townspeople is unmatched. Janelle truly embodies our core values and deserves to be recognized for it!

Alyson C

Alyson is a rockstar and a natural born leader. Here are just a few examples of how I feel she really lives up to the core values.

Integrity: Always takes the best and most efficient way, even when it might not be a quick fix. She is also very responsible and leads by example with that.

Passion: She keeps getting better and more passionate as each year passes. Her passion to help her co-workers is unmatched. She is always there if you need ANYTHING. And she always treats her customers with support and respect. I’ve heard from several of her customers that her passion for the job is what keeps them coming back for more.

Innovation: In the rare event that Alyson doesn’t have an immediate answer, she will go out of her way to figure out how to properly go about getting a resolution.

Kent M

Kent M is an excellent, hard worker. Always showing up and helping his team in the Accounting department. He steps in when needed and is very enthusiastic and high energy. He is never afraid of saying hello to someone and introducing himself. Very cheerful in the morning.

Kent is a great example of the Parts Town way. When he answers the phone, you can just tell that he likes what he does and is proud to represent our great company.

Kent is very kind and patient! He pays attention to detail and provides excellent service.

Terry L

Terry joined Parts Town in early 2023 and his impact has been immense. He is committed to partnership and doing what is right for Parts Town, our customers, and our team members – regardless if it is the easy thing to do. He took time to understand all the functions of the team he manages and to engage with the leaders of the business units that are supported. He proactively seeks ways to make improvements to processes and procedures. He implements change for validated, purposeful reasons and isn’t afraid to recognize when changes aren’t working. He understands the importance of communication and collaboration and fosters the need for both with the team and throughout the company.

Peter E

Safety: Peter is never one to cut corners. He takes great pride and care in his work; however, even more pride and care towards his interactions with others. He makes everyone around him feel valued and accepted. Integrity: Open, honest, and humble. Peter’s credibility is borderline unmatched, because people always know they are getting an authentic Peter. Community: Peter makes work fun! One of the greatest at doing so. You can always count on Peter to be intentional in the ways in which he interacts with everyone in a group. Passion: Bringing unique enthusiasm, Peter’s positive attitude is infectious and inspiring. Courage: Peter is always finding ways to challenge himself to be a better him and is never afraid of change. During SAP launch, Peter did so much work to make sure change happened successfully. Innovation: Peter does a great job at finding new ways to tackle complex problems. He finds so many ways to collaborate and find these solutions together and lifts up all who are around him.

Jennifer P

What can I say about Jennifer other than the fact that she embodies this award. I quickly learned when I joined the team that Jennifer is a rock star. With her leading the Cash Application team, she has seen her fair share of adversity over the past months. Her group has been impacted significantly with the implementation of SAP, but she has taken it in stride and worked to ensure her team is supported. She is often pulled away to assist with defects and help coach her team up. Parts Town is blessed to have Jen, and I’m thankful to have her on my team!

Kenneth C

KC is very friendly and helpful to all. He comes into work and gives 100% every day.

He creates an environment where I feel safe coming to for any issues or ask to questions.

He is a hard worker. He is helpful to our team. And he always has a smile on his face.

He always helps the entire team and looks for a solution to each problem, always optimistic and is the same with each of us.

Always willing to help. He’s funny too!

He is friendly and respectful.

Matt B

From the moment I met Matthew and had my very first conversation with him, he made me feel welcome to the Parts Town community. Matt has this remarkable skill/talent to make any conversation as smooth and comfortable as possible. Matt lives and breathes the core values of Parts Town every day. Even a simple smile from Matt is enough to make the rest of your day. Genuinely invested in the wellbeing of everyone, there could not be a better person in the role that Matt is currently in. Thank you for all that you do, Matt. You are a beloved member of our community, and we all appreciate the hard work that you do every day.

Jade A

Jade is Parts Town’s core values. She has the heart of a teacher and is always willing to help. Especially during Rocket training where she was like a tutor to me. She spends time making certain that our work area is festive for the appropriate season. Jade genuinely cares about this company, her coworkers, her customers and takes pride in the quality of her work. The quality of my work is much better due to Jade helping me. I could go on and on about Jade – the best thing I can say is I wish we had 50 more Jades at Parts Town.

Cory B

Cory is very passionate about his work and the people he supports. He exemplifies the Parts Town’s core values, especially Passion and Courage. He is very energetic and his excitement for what he does is contagious to the people around him. He is our IT “Rock Star”.

Whenever you reach out to Cory with any issues, he is always willing and happy to assist. Cory makes asking for help a breeze and his eagerness to assist lets you know that he values Parts Town’s core values – especially the core value of community.

Tammy F

Tammy is a prime example of “whatever it takes” to ensure her team and the customers they all together serve get a World Class experience. One of the many many examples of this was her resilience upon launch of SAP where there were many obstacles with our master data processes. Tammy rallied her team and found a way to win which was no easy task and required A LOT of long days. Tammy would be an excellent representative of what the Core Value award is all about!

We need more Tammy’s in this world. I don’t work in the same office as Tammy however I did get to meet her once and I was thrilled to thank her. Being able to work with people like Tammy was what I had hoped for when I joined Parts Town.
