Congratulations to Our August VIP Winners!

We would like to celebrate a few of our team members who have been recognized by their peers for putting our Core Values, Safety, Integrity, Community, Passion, Courage and Innovation, into practice! Congratulations VIP Winners and thank you for Living Our Values! Here are our winners, and their nomination written by a fellow team member.

Kelly – Some people go above and beyond all the time. Kelly is that rare person who can bring out the best in others while bringing them joy at the same time. She is such a force for good at Parts Town. Her intensity and relentlessly genuine positivity are contagious. I can’t help but smile when I see her. Kelly’s mere presence motivates me! More recently, Kelly led the SAP cutover, which involved endless herding of cats and meals and tabletops and astronauts and champions and sleep deprivation … but somehow Kelly made that all FUN! Oh well, that’s done, on to the next big thing – VP of Customer Experience – a role that was made for Kelly.

Kenna – It is with great enthusiasm and admiration that I nominate Kenna for recognition of her unwavering commitment to upholding and embodying our organization’s Core Values. Throughout her tenure, Kenna has consistently demonstrated the following qualities, making her an exceptional candidate for this honor. Passion: Kenna is a shining example of passion in action. Her dedication to her work and the mission of our organization is evident in everything she does. Whether she’s leading a project, mentoring colleagues, or engaging with Leadership, her enthusiasm and genuine love for the organization is contagious, motivating those around her to excel. Safety: When it comes to safety, Kenna leaves no room for compromise. She goes above and beyond to create a secure and comfortable environment for her team and those she serves. Integrity: Honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior are the cornerstones of Kenna’s character. She consistently upholds the highest standards of integrity in her decision-making and interactions. Her colleagues and clients trust her implicitly, knowing that her words and actions are rooted in honesty and authenticity. Courage: In the face of challenges and uncertainties, Kenna has shown remarkable courage. She fearlessly takes on tough tasks, tackling them with resilience and determination. Her ability to remain steadfast and composed during difficult times has been an inspiration to her team, motivating them to overcome obstacles with confidence. Innovation: Kenna’s innovative spirit shines through in her approach to problem-solving and ideation. She is always on the lookout for new, creative ways to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and drive positive change within the organization. Her open-mindedness and willingness to explore uncharted territory have led to groundbreaking advancements in our sales operations. Community: A true team player, Kenna fosters a sense of unity and collaboration within our organization. She actively promotes an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Furthermore, she is deeply committed to giving back to the community, participating in various outreach programs and charitable initiatives. Kenna has consistently exhibited the Core Values of passion, safety, integrity, courage, innovation, and community throughout her time with our organization. Her exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication have had a profoundly positive impact on both our team and the broader community we serve. It is without a doubt that she is highly deserving of this recognition and serves as a shining example of the best of our organization’s values!

Julia – Julia is a life saver, literally. She has prior EMT experience and is always on-hand to help in any emergency! There are many times we have drawn on her expertise, but the most recent involved one of our own team members. Julia’s quick response got this person the help that they needed, and we just learned that this team member is recovering well. We don’t say it enough, but we are so grateful for her willingness to step in and help! She’s a VIP in our book!

Chester – Chester was a miracle worker and absolute savior during SAP launch. He spearheaded the DC training effort and was the number one resource for everyone in the DC on launch week. As CI manager, he sits with his finger of the pulse of every change the Wizards make and is aware of the potential issues in the DC. He leveraged this perfect position to become a dictionary of system knowledge and teacher of practical application. His monumental dedication to learning how our current system works paid countless dividends as he identified issues in SAP and directed them to the right people to either fix or make workarounds for. He was a key member of preparing SAP for launch week and then on top of that he was the number one point man in the DC when issues arose. He came in on both Saturday and Sunday before launch, then stayed late every day of launch week to provide support. During launch week he bounced from one fire to the next providing a smile and a calming presence helping Rockstars through issues big and small His attention to detail and dedication to knowing the new SAP system meant he could meticulously identify actual errors in the system against a wall of confusion and nipped numerous issues in the bud before they could grow into massive headaches SAP launch week would not have gone the same without Chester, his dedication in the months leading up to launch taught and prepared the entire DC and then was a beacon of hope in the first few days as everyone adapted to the new world that was SAP.

Chris – I would like to nominate Chris for a VIP award! Day in and day out, Chris shows up and gives our team 150%, all while navigating the exhausting challenges of being a first-time dad and supportive husband. Chris goes above and beyond his call of duty in pursuing excellence, takes initiative to work with others and streamline processes, and is always available to give advice and lend a helping hand to problem-solve, no matter the situation. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time for his peers. From your professionalism to your personality, thank you for being a wonderful person to work with. We truly value you and all that you bring to our team. Thank you for always going above and beyond… with a smile and a joke!

Andrew – Andrew is a Rockstar. He is sincerely passionate about caring for the people on his team and their individual growth and success. As he develops his team, he encourages them to put their own personality into everything that they do. Andrew is also always innovating by coming up with new tools and ideas to make the Shipping & Freight processes more efficient. Parts Town is better because of him and his leadership!

Janelle – I would like to nominate Janelle for a VIP award. She has a passion for helping her fellow coworkers and customers alike. Janelle makes such positive impact on the Service Segment as a whole. When I think of someone who always goes above and beyond for the goals set for our segment, I think of Janelle. She brings a thoughtful approach to leadership and an equal willingness to jump in to do whatever it takes to help her team and fellow coworkers. She takes the time to listen and make sure everyone feels included in the conversation and returns with a thoughtful and inclusive decision. Yet when it is time to take the initiative, she does it with great courage and determination. She always sees the good side of people and encourages other team members to do the same. Janelle has established a renewed and reinvigorated spirit of cooperation and collaboration, amongst her team and our segment, encouraging a sense of community. During our newest Rocket launch she worked to ensure every team member was included (in office and remote) to share in our celebration. Janelle should definitely be celebrated!
