VIP Core Value Winnters

The following team members have been recognized by their peers for putting our Core Values into Practice! Congratulations VIP Winners and thank you for living our values!

Safety – Integrity – Community – Passion – Courage – Innovation

Hunter – ECommerce, Remote

Nomination #1: I am nominating Hunter as a VIP for showing passion in his role and bringing new methods to accelerate growth in our Punchout space. Since joining the team in March, he has approached his role with enthusiasm, learning as much as he can about the backend and people processes that make Punchouts work. Most recently, he created a new Smart Sheet to better track implementation statuses and prioritize high value opportunities with the sales team. He’s also helping expose the real value of Punchouts, which are growing 60% YOY. Thank you, Hunter, for brining your whole-self every day and making a positive impact to our team!

Nomination #2: Hunter is constantly learning daily and applies his teachings to make each project a success. He is extremely enthusiastic, hungry, and willing, which is exciting to watch. Hunter provides a safe space for people and teams to share their concerns and then works hard to validate and establish clear and concise understanding to provide transparency and confidence in the process.

Jesse – Distribution Center, Addison

Nomination #1: Jesse works in our Meadow DC and is a big reason we’ve been successful with 2 key initiatives:

  • Stocking new, large HVAC SKUs

  • Organizing bulk stock buys for DC West

HVAC is a key adjacency and we’re bringing in 1,000s of new parts to support manufacturers like Trane, Lennox and Carrier. Some of those parts are big (think 1 unit to a pallet) and we don’t yet have the racking in place to store them. Jesse developed and executed a storage plan that allows us to receive, pick, pack and ship this product while we wait for the racking to come in.

DC West bulk buys: the Purchasing and Manufacturer Partnership team worked with our biggest manufacturers (think names like Pitco, Blodgett, Henny Penny, etc.) to secure lower pricing on the stocking buys we need for DC West. We now have 400+ pallets/20+ truckloads of parts ready to ship to AZ for July receiving. Jesse has all the product organized and ready to go as soon as Audreyanne says go!

Nomination #2: I’d like to nominate Jesse for a VIP Award in June.  He has been instrumental in supporting the growth of our HVAC business with Walmart.  Our Lennox business has grown 1600%+ from last June to this June, this could not have happened without his passion and support in developing a storage plan for these larger products that allows us to receive, pick, pack and ship this product safely and efficiently.  With Jesse’s innovation and passion in the warehouse, I know we will continue to grow our HVAC business with Walmart as they continue to see as a more and more valuable partner.

Albert – IT, Addison

I’d like to nominate Albert for a VIP award. Albert has been with Parts Town on our IT team for about two years and every interaction I’ve had with him has always been above and beyond. Not only is he passionate about his work at Parts Town, but in all his interactions he demonstrates our Community Value. Albert takes the time to have genuine conversations with people across the business. Asking if they need help, asking simple things like how they are doing. He takes an interest in truly building our community through conversations and connections with team members. It’s these types of conversations and people like Albert that make Parts Town so special. Not to mention – he is always smiling! Thanks for all you do, Albert!

Oscar – Distribution Center, Addison

Oscar is everywhere in the DC. He’s one of the most reliable team members and you can count on him to get any job done. Since he started shuttling, he stepped up to that role and was able to manage all different types of tasks on his own. Like bringing totes, pallets, Replens and received work. There’s not one thing that he can’t do. He’s a safe driver and takes his job seriously every day. Overall, Oscar is an awesome worker all around and we’re thankful to work with him. We all notice your hard work every day. Keep it up!!!

Mary – International, Addison

I would like to nominate Mary for VIP. Mary has come to the International team with an amazing attitude and willingness to learn everything about the business. She does not shy away from a problem and in fact enjoys them. She enjoys a challenge and will always take one on headfirst. She has made such a huge impact on our team and knowing we have a leader who has our backs makes a HUGE difference in team moral. I know if I ever have an issue no matter how big or small, she will be able to find a solution. Her work ethic is amazing but don’t let that fool you…she also has a great sense of humor! Mary is a perfect fit for our team and Parts Town!

Spiro – ECommerce, Addison

Spiro has shown absolute yeoman work over the past month in regard to researching what are accurate revenue numbers for the mobile app team are and digging headfast into discovering and reporting several analytics and metrics useful to the team. He courageously challenged certain initial reports relating to app revenue numbers which he felt were inaccurate. Through persistent research that went well above his station, Spiro was able to demonstrate that app revenues were significantly higher than initially reported, and that furthermore, direct app sales represented nearly 13% of total e-commerce revenue. In addition, due to his persistent research, he found that YoY growth of app revenue has consistently been at 15% or more.

His continual pursuit of integrity demonstrated that the value of the mobile application to the company as a whole was considerably more significant than thought.  It also changed the nature of certain reporting methods permanently to provide a far more accurate picture of ecommerce revenue as a whole. This pursuit of accuracy warrants him to be considered for VIP, and I hopefully think should be granted.

Joy – Accounting, Addison

I am writing to wholeheartedly nominate Joy for recognition of her exceptional embodiment of our core values, particularly in the areas of service, teamwork, and dedication.

As a valuable member of our billing team, Joy has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and a remarkable willingness to go above and beyond in her role. One area where her impact shines brightly is her invaluable assistance to our Chains team, particularly in navigating the complexities of third-party portals. Joy’s expertise and willingness to share her knowledge have been instrumental in resolving numerous issues efficiently and effectively. What truly sets Joy apart is her genuine passion for her work and her dedication to ensuring not only the satisfaction of our customers but also the success of our entire team. She consistently goes the extra mile to not only clarify what is needed but also to guide us through the proper processes, ensuring that both customers and colleagues alike are supported and empowered.

Joy’s selflessness and dedication to the collective success of our company are evident in every interaction and every task she undertakes. Her actions reflect a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration and a steadfast commitment to upholding our shared values.

In conclusion, Joy embodies the essence of what it means to be a team player, a dedicated colleague, and a true asset to our organization. Her passion, expertise, and selflessness serve as an inspiration to us all, and I wholeheartedly believe that she is more than deserving of recognition for her outstanding contributions.

Megan – Chains, Fort Wayne

I would like to nominate Megan for a VIP! She has been a HUGE help with anything mass load related. She takes on any challenge that is thrown at her and runs with it. If she is unsure of how to handle something she is not afraid to ask questions. Megan handles all requests in a timely manner and has been great with getting a lot completed in one day. The team is truly lucky to have her!

James – Analytics, Addison

I’d like to nominate James for a June VIP Award. James has been an instrumental part of the Analytics Team for almost 5 years now and in the past 6 months he’s been a critical team member in reinstating and launching new innovative reporting for the business. James has spent many many hours in the past several months validating and assisting in the new build of our fully automated PT Monthly Report that the business has been so excited to see come back post SAP. He’s partnered with every single person on our team this year to assist in getting amazing new Qlik apps launched for the business including, but not limited to, the Daily Performance Scorecards, Segment Deep Dive Dashboards, new and improved Backorder Dashboards, Customer & Manufacturer Downtrending Reports and most recently an interactive Daily Scorecard Dashboard that allows the business to view call activities over time. He is always willing to provide a helping hand when asked and brings the Core Values of Integrity, Community, Passion and Innovation to the table EVERY SINGLE DAY. You can see it in his work and in his commitment to make sure he’s providing the business with his best always.

Blake – PMO, Addison

I would like to nominate Blake for a VIP award for June for his leadership on the PIM initiative.

While Blake has been involved with PIM for a while now, his leadership has been particularly important over the last couple months, taking on the more complex cross functional challenges associated with bringing a brand new PIM platform to life. Working with purchasing, IT, Pimberly, product data, and product, Blake has been leading key areas getting deployment to the finish line like SIT, UAT, data migration design, hour by hour cutover, Steerco updates, etc. Blake doesn’t just do all this work, which by itself is big effort among all the other initiatives Blake is involved with. Blake also brings an endless reserve of patience, listening and servant leadership that leads us all with confidence and calmness in a difficult effort, and represents the best of Parts Town. Blake’s contributions are worthy of celebrating!
