Congratulations to Our September VIP Winners!

Each month, our team members nominate their peers who they see living our core values at work for a VIP. Here are our winners for September, and the nominations from their fellow team members.

Elizabeth – I would like to nominate Elizabeth. She goes above and beyond every day, helping not only her own team but anyone around her. Even if she is on a break and someone has a question, she is right there to assist. You never hear her complain or show that she is overwhelmed. She handles every scenario thrown her way with such grace. Parts Town is incredibly lucky to have someone with as much passion for her job as Liz!

John – John is a crucial part of the Outbound team, and his role sometimes goes under the radar. John can be referred to as the glue that holds the team together. John has a keen eye for detail and remains in a constant state of high alert. These attributes support the Outbound team and overall business every day. John goes above and beyond to support the leadership team with coordinating the production flow, reviewing each areas performances and raising the alarm when things seem to be going off track. On 9/5/23, the day after Labor Day, this was shown to another level. John showed complete control for a record setting day and with clear focus, plans and communication, we sailed through the day without any major issues. A key part of our success was down to John’s control of the day, he truly was the captain of the ship. We are lucky to have a committed employee like John supporting the operation. I am very thankful for the complete dedication and effort he delivers each day.

Carlos -As the Director of Business Development for LATAM, Carlos consistently exemplifies outstanding dedication, teamwork, and the qualities that make him an exceptional human being. Over the past month, I had the privilege of witnessing Carlos’ remarkable commitment to our company, our international business, and our team. He goes above and beyond to support his team, fostering an environment of collaboration and unity that greatly demonstrates our company’s values – not only internally but in every engagement with our customers and our industry. What truly sets Carlos as a VIP winner is his unwavering dedication to the success of our team. Although it was not his direct responsibility, he took it upon himself to help me with the setup and execution of our first trade show set up in Mexico, demonstrating the courage and passion that a true Parts Town employee should. Despite many challenges we had to overcome Carlos’s willingness to step in and help, even when it wasn’t expected of him, demonstrates his commitment to our team’s success and Parts Town. He took the time to help me personally when I needed it most, showing empathy, patience, and a willingness to lend a helping hand. It is not just his professionalism but also his kindness and enthusiasm to support his coworkers that make him an extraordinary colleague. During his first year at Parts Town Carlos has consistently demonstrated exceptional qualities that make him the perfect candidate for a VIP award. I recommend Carlos for this well-deserved recognition as he has enriched our work environment through his exceptional teamwork dedication and friendliness. Thank you for considering this nomination. I believe that Carlos represents our company’s core values and has become an ambassador of them bringing the Parts Town culture to the customers and the industry in LATAM.

Brenda – Brenda is always a rockstar and demonstrates our Core Values. However, she was recently put in a situation where she ‘level-up’d’ all our Core Values to save the day! Brenda came across a significant challenge with a trade show in Mexico City, where our booth materials got stuck in customs and 48 hours before the show, we had nothing in hand to make the show a success. Not only that, but the booth location we secured was in the worst place possible and we would not have received much foot traffic at all for our investment. Brenda ‘found a guy’ 😊 that could turn around ALL our booth materials within 24 hours, negotiated premium booth placement and got everything in working shape, minutes before the show started!! There were certainly many people involved helping her out (Carlos Osorio, in particular), but Brenda rose to the occasion, wouldn’t take no for an answer and put us in shape to have a successful show! Well-deserving of a VIP!

Missy – I would like to nominate Missy for VIP recognition! Missy is a VIP for several reasons. She has the leadership, knowledge, confidence, and passion to excel in her role. Her qualities and actions make her stand out, for example: Effective Communication: Missy excels in conveying her ideas clearly and listening attentively. She ensures that everyone understands the vision and goals. Empathy and Compassion: As a leader, Missy is known for her empathy. She genuinely cares about the well-being of her team, making her approachable and supportive. Inspirational: Missy has a knack for motivating others. She leads by example, showing dedication, hard work, and a positive attitude. Her enthusiasm is infectious, inspiring others to strive for excellence. Problem Solving: Missy is an adept problem solver. She approaches challenges with a calm and analytical mindset, finding creative solutions and teaching her team valuable problem-solving skills. Passion: Last, but not least is one of her most distinguishing traits, Passion. Missy’s passion for her role as a manager shines through. Her enthusiasm for what she does is contagious, making her an exceptional motivator and mentor. Missy has also been instrumental during the SAP/Rocket launch. She has taken on all the testing and training the past 12 months and has done it with greatness. We are so lucky to have Missy at Parts Town and I can’t think of a more deserving person to win this award than her.

Molly – I want to take the opportunity to nominate Molly for a VIP Award. In her brief time at Parts Town, Molly continuously shows her passion for creating impactful marketing assets that embody the Parts Town brand. Most recently, when we came to Molly with the opportunity to create something unique and impactful for our pitch to a major chain partner – Molly jumped right in. Regardless of the complex nature of the request and the tight timeline, Molly enthusiastically brought her best ideas and collaborated with the pitch team to create what leaders have called “the best pitch we have ever created.” She worked tirelessly through constant revisions, challenged us to make adjustments to the strategy – all to ensure we had the best product to present to this very important client. Molly is a creative, strategic and passionate team player – she is an awesome asset to the Marketing Team.

Tom – If you’ve had the pleasure of working with Tom since he started in November 2022 you will realize a couple awesome qualities right away. He is very driven, hard-working, and humble while also being transparent in everything he does. Tom doesn’t shy away from any challenge and has been instrumental in our integration to SAP putting in hours upon hours or work and meetings to make sure reporting can be as accurate as possible. He regularly celebrates big team wins as “the best day of his life”. He is constantly juggling a dozen plus different tasks in our analytics world yet still is as positive as ever. He is a HUGE asset to our team, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without him.

Luz – Lucy is patient, kind, thoughtful, funny, and creative! Lucy is a team player – she takes initiative to resolve issues, and when she’s not driving team members to and from the overflow parking lot, she lends a hand in the DC! Although her interactions with most of us are short lived, she makes a lasting impact! She prioritizes our safety and goes “the extra mile” to drop us off directly in front of our vehicles. Lucy is passionate about what she does – she takes pride in our community by decorating our company vehicle each season/holiday! Most importantly, she knows how to put a smile on our faces at the end of our workdays. Thanks, Lucy! We appreciate you.

Salman – I would like to nominate Salman for VIP – he has been a tremendous help to so many teams with the SAP implementation. Salman has a way of understanding the issue, evaluating the needs of the business, assisting with the high volume of JIRA Tickets, and maintaining such a positive attitude throughout all of this! We owe a lot of our success over the last 2 months to him directly. Parts Town is lucky to have such a passionate employee who is always eager and willing to help. We can’t thank Salman enough for all he has done and continues to do – Salman is clearly a VIP employee in every way, day in and day out!
