Warming up cheese for delicious nachos can be done in a few different ways. Depending on how you want it to turn out, you may choose one way over another. Our guide will help you weigh your options and learn how to warm up nacho cheese to perfection.
Proper Ways to Warm Up Nacho Cheese
- The microwave – When heating cheese in the microwave, put the cheese in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second increments until it’s warmed all the way through. Make sure you stir it to ensure it doesn’t burn on the bottom and it gets warm in the middle.
- The stove – Using a saucepan, heat the cheese on medium heat for two minutes while stirring constantly. To lighten the cheese sauce, add some milk or water bit by bit. This method is great for heating up queso.
- A slow cooker – A slow cooker is a great way to consistently warm cheese all the way through. However, it will take a bit longer than using the microwave or using the stove. Choose the proper settings, put in the cheese sauce and let it heat up. Don’t forget to occasionally stir.
