Parts Town Cares All Year

Parts Town’s Reedy Cares Liason, Chris Reynolds, discusses this season’s philanthropic outreach:

With the holidays in full swing Parts Town has been very busy. With staying on top of being the best in the business we always have offered up some charitable giving. Parts Town’s entire year is filled with many helping hands through the Reedy & KaBoom! playground build, our pops for charity (which lends funds to 4 different charities throughout the year with the sales from our pop machine.) to our participation with the JDRF Walk to cure childhood diabetes we turn to our office for holiday season.

November of this year turned out rather well for everyone. Celebrating with our families for Thanksgiving and providing for others. We put together a canned food drive for the Addison Community Switchboard. In 3 weeks we were able to give quite a bit. From canned vegetables and stuffing to dressings and soups. All of these went towards helping families in need that were not able to afford much for their families on Thanksgiving. We filled up 4 rather large boxes to bring to the food bank to donate.

This December however, we did not only decide to take on one charitable drive, but two. We have decided to run a Toys For Tots and coat drive. Both of these are taking off nicely and this year we will be able to provide some needed warmth and a few toys for families in need of something a little extra this season. Our toy drive is being run and dropped off through the Toys For Tots organization and we are running out coat drive through the Addison Community Switchboard.

Giving really is the name of the game this season and it’s always nice to be able to lend a helping hand. Rather a playground, walk, can, or coat, Parts Town is always willing to lend a helping hand.
