As 2013 draws to a close…well, a few weeks after 2013 drew to a close, but never mind that. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest and most exciting milestones from the past year!
January
- We launched our partnership with Cres Cor.
February
- At the annual Parts Town Party, we socialized and handed out the yearly Core Value awards!
- We tried our hand at the Harlem Shake. The result is the most popular video Parts Town has produced to date.
- Tommy Hawk of the Chicago Blackhawks visited one of our team members.
- The 100th employee joined our team. We closed the year with a total of 125.
April
- Our popular “Tech Tips” miniseries began its 13 episode run.
May
- We participated in our annual playground build with KaBOOM!
- Many of us attended the National Restaurant Association show.
June
- We ranked #12 on the Crain’s Fast 50 list – our fourth consecutive appearance on the list!
- We went nuts for cronuts. We couldn’t hep it.
- Art Roman celebrated ten years with Parts Town.
July
- Our website, Partstown.com, turned six years old. They grow up so fast.
August
- PartSPIN was added to our website, and will forever change the way you look at parts.
- Bowling! We treated ourselves to a day at the lanes.
September
- We bid farewell to Lee Swanson on the occasion of his retirement.
October
- The About Us section of our website launched, giving you the opportunity to learn everything you always wanted to know about the people behind the parts.
- We ran a 5K to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
- Things got freaky on Halloween.
November
- We collected pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
- Daniel Crotty led an effort to benefit those affected by the tornadoes in southern Illinois.
December
- Company President Steve Snower celebrated ten years with Parts Town
- We faced off in an epic laser tag showdown.
