Dan Hinchley and Mark Marron of Partstown

No matter how much we enjoy our work, all of us have days when we’re grouchy, grumpy, and unable to snap out of it. All of us, that is, except for Dan Hinchley and Mark Marron. Today, Parts Town salutes two perpetual optimists who keep us laughing when the going gets tough.

Work comes first for these dedicated gentlemen, but they consistently get it done with a smile. Mark’s overpowering voice can be heard throughout the office, joking with his customers and establishing rapport. It’s no wonder so many of his customers have gotten into the habit of requesting Mark specifically when they call – he greets them like an old friend.

Mark’s overpowering voice can also be heard encouraging his teammates every day. One of his many job responsibilities is to guide fellow employees in career enhancement, so keeping our chins up is an invaluable skill. This usually takes the form of singing pop songs from the 80’s, although with the holidays drawing near, Mark’s musical selections have taken a more festive turn. I strongly encourage his customers to request a rendition of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” It will make your day!

Dan, who handles relations with manufacturers such as APW and Southbend, has a less tuneful but no less effective approach to spreading good cheer. He is renowned throughout the industry for his sense of humor. Indeed, as guests to the building quickly learn, Dan gets a laugh out of nearly everyone he speaks to. We at Parts Town are counting down the days until our annual holiday party, when we are sure to be treated to one of his memorable stand-up routines.

Because of the optimistic attitude Dan and Mark bring to work every day, the rest of us know that even if we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, we can look forward to some positive energy at Parts Town!
