How to Clean the Bean Hopper

- Step 1—Grind any leftover beans that are in the hopper.
- Step 2—Using a bean hopper cleaner, lightly spray the inside of the hopper.
- Step 3—Use a clean cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the hopper, then allow it to dry completely.
How to Clean the Grinding Mechanism
The grinding mechanism should be cleaned every 2-5 days. Be sure to only use GRINDZ grinder cleaner for this procedure.
- Step 1—Grind any leftover beans that are in the hopper until no more beans remain in the hopper.
- Step 2—Set the grinder adjustment system to the most coarse setting.
- Step 3—Fill the bean hopper with grinder cleaner per its instructions.
- Step 4—Place a clean, empty container under the spout to collect the cleaner.
- Step 5—Begin to grind as you normally would.
- Step 6—Once the grinder begins to idle, you can stop grinding, turn off and unplug the unit.
- Step 7—Wipe out the hopper with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
- Step 8—Plug the grinder back in and turn it on.
- Step 9—Fill the hopper with the same amount of beans as you used for the cleaner. This will help dislodge and remove any leftover cleaner. You can set the grinding setting to anything for this part of the process.
- Step 10—Dispose of the ground beans once grinding is complete. The grinder can now be used.
