This Frieling Coffee Filter Holder is great for brewing smaller quantities of coffee in an old-fashioned style. This holder is made from fire-proof hard porcelain and is a 6 size yielding approximately 12-18 cups. To brew: rinse filter holder with hot water. Set atop coffee pot insulated server or mug. Place a permanent filter or paper filter inside the holder. Add ground coffee (medium to find grind). Starting in the center pour a small amount of water in a circular motion over the ground coffee until the surface is wet. Wait for a half minute to let the coffee bloom and then slowly add the remaining hot water. Total brew time should be from 2.5-3 minutes. This cup is 6.25" across the top and 5" high including the base.
