The Merrychef eikon® oven series brings convenience and speed to commercial kitchens without diminishing the quality of the food being prepared. Because of its usefulness, it’s important that, should an issue arise, that you get your eikon oven back up in little to no time. Oven Isn’t Working, Display Screen Is Blank

This occurs when the oven doesn’t have power. You can resolve this in the following ways:

  • Check the power and see if it’s been cut
  • Make sure the isolator switch is turned ON
  • Check that the oven is plugged in correctly

Screen Controls Aren’t Working

Some screen controls won't work because the user has unauthorized access. Please contact an authorized service technician to access the controls. 

Display Shows a Warning Message

This happens when the input power supply is interrupted or lost. To resolve this, follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Oven Isn’t Cooking Food Correctly

There could be a few issues that could be causing the problem. Check the potential issues and resolutions below. 

  • Oven isn’t clean - Clean the oven following the instructions in your operator's manual.
  • Food isn’t at the correct temperature or a wrong/modified program was selected - Use the proper cooking program you've set or are listed in your operator's manual.
  • Food was wrapped - Unwrap food for non-microwave cooking.
  • Food was removed early - Make sure that all the cooking stages have been properly followed.

Oven Doesn’t Finish Cooking

There could be a few issues that could be causing the problem. Check the potential issues and resolutions below.

  • Refit the air filter - Check and remove any blockages or restrictions around the air vents.
  • Oven door is open - Close the oven door.
  • Oven is overheated - Let the oven cool down.

Display Shows An Error Message

This means there is an oven malfunction. Make note of the error code being displayed and contact an authorized service technician.
