Bizerba Slicer Troubleshooting

In the event your Bizerba slicer stops working or starts making funny noises, you’ll want to know the troubleshooting tips that can help you get to the root of the problem and back to slicing meats and cheeses. Learn these Bizerba slicer troubleshooting tips we have to offer below.

Bizerba Slicer Issues

Sometimes the problems make a small appearance before the machine goes down for the count. Here are a few of the issues and troubleshooting tips we have for a Bizerba slicer that’s acting up.

  • Making Noises - Once you hear a strange noise, turn the machine off and unplug the unit. This type of issue will need to be diagnosed by a service technician.
  • Bizerba Slicer Isn’t Running - This is likely due to a power failure. Try turning the slicer off for about five minutes and restarting it. If a power issue isn’t the case, it could be because the machine has overheated from continuous use. Check the voltage reading and the circuit breaker for the outlet to make sure the issue isn’t in the power source.
  • Dull Blades - Clean the blades. With cutting bigger parts of cheese or meat into thinner slices, the fats and debris can dull the blades. Make sure to regularly clean and sharpen the blades.
  • Failed Motor - If you can exclude the power source from the list, then the motor is likely the cause. This could be due to defective jaws of gears. Have a certified service technician take a look and possibly replace the motor if needed.
  • Dirty Machine - If your slicer isn’t cleaned regularly or properly then it could cause some serious issues. Make sure you take a look at the Bizerba slicer manual to get an idea on how to clean the unit.
