Convotherm 4 Error Codes and What They Mean

The Convotherm 4 is one of the most efficient combi ovens in the foodservice industry, allowing commercial kitchens to make delicious dishes in a matter of minutes. In the rare instance, your unit displays a fault code, conducting correct diagnostics is crucial. The chart below walks you through Convotherm 4 error codes and how to potentially remedy them.

E01.x

Not enough water to unit - Turn on the supply.

E02

Temperature electrical area is too high - Clean the exterior of the fan grille at the bottom of the unit. Then, clean the air intake at the base of the unit.

E05

No gas to the unit - Open the gas shut-off. Restart the unit.

E10

Water filter needs to be replaced - Replace the filter cartridge.

E34.0

Boiler pump error - Restart the unit by unplugging, waiting 10 seconds and plugging it back in.

E58.0

Cleaning-agent dispensing pump error - Add the proper cleaning agent in the container and restart the unit. Repeat this process until the tubes are filled.

E59.0

Rinse-aid dispensing pump error - Add the proper rinsing aid in the container and restart the unit. Repeat this process until the tubes are filled.

Main contactor error - Appliance switch is defective OR error in safety chain. Contact an authorized service agent.

E81.0

Cooking mode not working - Redownload the cooking profile.

E99

No communication in unit - Restart the unit by unplugging, waiting 10 seconds and plugging it back in.

No initialization - Restart the unit by unplugging, waiting 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
