Delfield Refrigerated Prep Table Troubleshooting

There could be a number of reasons why your Delfield prep table isn’t working properly. Luckily, we have a few possible solutions. With our guide on Delfield refrigerated prep table troubleshooting, you can get your unit diagnosed and repaired in no time.
Delfield Prep Table Not Working
- No power to the unit - This could be caused by a faulty plug or a loose power switch. Check the wiring as well as the circuit breaker to make sure that the issue isn’t with the main breaker.
- The compressor stopped working - Have a certified service technician replace the compressor.
Delfield Prep Table Freezing Food
- The unit isn’t at the proper temperature - The defrost clock is at the wrong setting and needs to be reset or replaced.
- The defrost setting is too low - Reset the defrost setting. If the setting looks off, the sensor may need to be replaced.
- The control stopped working - Check that there’s no water damage or loose connections.
- Fans aren’t running - Check the fans for debris. If they’re clean, they may need to be replaced.
- The coil temperature isn’t correct - If the coils are getting too cold or not getting cold enough, then the coils may need to be replaced or thawed.
Delfield Prep Table Not Cooling
- The evaporator is iced up - Run a defrost cycle to break up the ice. If the evaporator still isn’t working, then they will need to be replaced.
- The temperature controller has water damage - Water damage means that the controller is damaged and should be replaced.
- The evaporator fan motor isn’t working - They could be stuck in ice or the motor itself could be clogged with product. Make sure to check the drain, check the fan blades and clean around the motor to remove all debris.
