French Door Refrigerator Water & Air Filter Replacement Instructions
Air Filter Replacement
Electrolux refrigerator air filter replacement should be about every 6 months to ensure odors are filtered.
- Step 1. Remove air filter cover - Squeeze the top and bottom of the cover together and remove it from the liner.
- Step 2. Remove old filter - Remove the old filter and throw it away.
- Step 3. Insert new filter - Unpackage the new filter and snap it into the filter cover. Make sure the open face is facing outward in the cover.
- Step 4. Reinstall air filter cover - Replace the air filter cover by squeezing the sides and snapping it back into place.
- Step 5. Reset air filter status - Press and hold the air filter button on the display for 3 seconds. The status should be reset to “GOOD”.
Water Filter Replacement
Electrolux refrigerator water filter replacement should happen every 6 months to keep water tasting fresh and ensuring quality.
- Step 1. Turn off ice maker - Turn off the ice maker power switch.
- Step 2. Remove filter cover - Pull the filter cover forward and it should drop down to access the filter.
- Step 3. Remove old filter - Rotate the old filter counter-clockwise (to the left) 90 degrees to remove it. Pull it out and discard it.
- Step 4. Insert new filter - Unpackage the new filter and slide it into the housing as far as it will go with the grip end vertical. Push the filter while rotating clockwise (to the right), then rotate it 90 degrees until the grip end is horizontal and you hear a light click.
- Step 5. Check for leaks - Press a cup against the water dispenser and check for any leaks at the filter housing.
- Step 6. Flush system - Continue to flush the system for 3-4 minutes.
- Step 7. Turn on the ice maker - Turn the ice maker back on.
- Step 8. Reset filter status - Press and hold the water filter reset button on the control display for 3 seconds. Once the display goes from red to green it has been reset.
Single Door Refrigerator Water & Air Filter Replacement Instructions
Air Filter Replacement
The Electrolux refrigerator air filter location is in the upper rear center of the cabinet, behind a decorative plate.
- Step 1. Remove air filter cover - Pull the air filter cover until it releases from the fixed air filter housing.
- Step 2. Remove old filter - Remove the old filter and throw it away.
- Step 3. Insert new filter - Unpackage the new filter and snap it into the filter cover. Make sure the open face is facing outward in the cover.
- Step 4. Reinstall air filter cover - Replace the air filter cover by aligning the cover and snapping it back into place.
- Step 5. Reset air filter status - Press and hold the “REPLACE AIR FILTER” on the control display for 3-4 seconds. Once the display goes from red to white it has been reset.
Water Filter Replacement
- Step 1. Remove filter - Remove the filter by firmly pressing the water filter cartridge until you hear a click and it releases.
- Step 2. Remove old filter cartridge - Take out the old filter cartridge from the housing and throw it away.
- Step 3. Insert new filter - Unpackage the new filter cartridge and slide it into the filter housing until you hear a click as it snaps into place.
- Step 4. Check for leaks - Press a cup against the water dispenser and check for any leaks at the filter housing.
- Step 5. Flush system - After filling 1 cup, continue to flush the system for 4 minutes.
- Step 6. Reset filter status - Press and hold the “WATER FILTER” on the control display for 3-4 seconds. Once the display goes from red to white it has been reset.
