Eversys Espresso Machine Cleaning Instructions

Perhaps your espresso machine and coffee equipment cleaning have fallen to the wayside in the past. But did you know that a well-maintained machine keeps downtime from disappointing customers and actually produces better-tasting results? That’s because following a strict cleaning schedule keeps bacteria from souring the beans and parts not only looking new but working like new.

Daily Cleaning
Cleaning the Milk Tank
- Step 1. Press & Hold the Rinse button – On the Eversys menu, locate the rinse button in the upper right-hand corner. Press and hold the icon for approximately three seconds or until the cleaning menu displays.
- Step 2. Press the Yes button – The cleaning menu will prompt you to select Yes or No. Select Yes to continue.
- Step 3. Remove the milk tank – The milk tank should be cleaned at least once per day with soap and warm water. You can store the milk in the fridge while cleaning. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly before returning.
- Step 4. Add Everclean™ to the cleaning tank – Press the Everclean cleaning solution pump once to dispense 25 ml or twice to dispense 50 ml into the cleaning tank. Then, insert the milk in the in-take tube before pressing Continue.
- Step 5. Wait 12 minutes – It takes approximately 12 minutes for the automatic system cleaning procedure of the milk system to finish.
- Note: Do not touch the outlets during cleaning, as they are very hot.
- Step 6. Remove & clean the cleaning tank – Once the 12 minutes are up, you can remove the cleaning tank. Be sure to thoroughly rinse and clean the tank before storing it again.
- Step 7. Clean the milk tank tube – With a damp cloth, wipe down the milk intake tubes.
- Step 8. Reinstall the milk tank – Return the milk tank to its original position and reinsert the milk intake tubes. Once finished, press the Continue button on the display screen.
Cleaning the Grounds Drawer
- Step 9. Empty and clean the grounds drawer – Lift the drip tray bar up to reveal the grounds drawer. Go ahead and remove it and empty it in the sink. Since the grounds drawer must be cleaned every day, use warm water and soap to thoroughly wash, rinse and dry before returning it to its original position. Press Yes on the touch screen to continue.
Cleaning the Touch Screen
- Step 10. Turn off the unit – Turn off and unplug the espresso machine. For the safety of you and the machine, the espresso machine should remain off while cleaning the touch screen and drip tray and while refilling the cleaning balls dispenser.
- Step 11. Clean the touch screen – Use a damp cloth to wipe down the body of the machine and the touch screen. Dry with a clean cloth.
Cleaning the Drip Tray
- Step 12. Remove the drip tray bar – Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before beginning this step. Lift the drip tray up to remove it.
- Step 13. Clean the drip tray – Wash the drip tray and its grid with a clean cloth and warm, soapy water. Be sure to thoroughly rinse and dry before replacing the grid.
Refilling the Cleaning Balls Dispenser
- Step 14. Remove the lid and check for blockages – The cleaning dispenser is located between the two bean hoppers. Open the lid and check to see if any of the cleaning balls have gotten caught in the dispensing mechanism. If so, remove these now.
- Step 15. Refill the dispenser – If the dispenser is running out of cleaning tablets, now’s a good time to refill them. Afterward, replace the lid, and you should be good to go!
- Note: The cleaning balls will run out after two months if they're not refilled.
Weekly Cleaning
Cleaning the Coffee/Milk Outlets
- Step 1. Turn off your Eversys espresso machine – Turn off and unplug the espresso machine before cleaning the coffee/milk outlets and bean hoppers.
- Step 2. Remove the drip head – Pulling down, carefully remove the drip head from the coffee/milk outlet.
- Step 3. Clean the drip head – You can clean the drip head with mild soap and a nylon tube brush. Thoroughly rinse before reinserting the drip head into the coffee/milk outlet.
Cleaning the Bean Hoppers
- Step 4. Remove the bean hopper lids – To clean your Eversys espresso machine’s bean hoppers, first start by removing the lids.
- Step 5. Unlock and remove the bean hoppers – Next, you’ll need to unlock each of the hoppers by turning the lock lever to the right.
- Step 6. Empty the hoppers and clean the containers – Place the coffee beans in a separate container while you clean the hoppers with a cloth and warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Note: The hoppers are not dishwasher safe.
- Step 7. Reinstall the hoppers and lids – Reinstall the hoppers, taking care the front hopper is returned to the front position and the rear hopper is returned to the rear position. Don’t forget to lock each hopper in place, refill the beans and cap the lids!
