Frigidaire Washing Machine Won’t Start

If you’re finding that your washing machine is having issues starting up, there could be a variety of things causing it. Here are a few components to check before you schedule maintenance:

  • Check that the washer is sitting level.
  • Double check that you pressed Start after selecting the load size.
  • Make sure the Delay Start button wasn’t pressed.
  • Check that the machine isn’t in a paused stage.
  • Close the lid completely.
  • Check that the power cord is plugged in all the way and that there are no frayed wires.
  • Make sure the water valves are turned on.
  • Ensure there’s enough water pressure.
  • Check the circuit breaker.

Washer Isn’t Spinning

A Frigidaire washer won’t spin if there are too many items in the machine or if the machine is unbalanced. Try removing a few items and make sure to check that the unit is level, then try starting it up again.
