Frymaster Fryer M3000 Programming Guide
Deep frying delicious foods quickly is a must for any restaurant or commercial kitchen. Frymaster makes a wide variety of units that can handle the job in a moment’s notice. Many of the latest models have computers that let users program custom temperatures, times and recipes suited for your menu. Our guide below has Frymaster fryer programming instructions for the M3000 computer.
M3000 Controller Programming – Product Setup
Below is how you program food for a single setpoint. The right column will feature the necessary action to advance. To exit setup at any time, press the “Exit/Scan” key until the display returns to normal.
- Step 1. Press the CHECKMARK until the controller displays “Main Menu” for three seconds. The left display will change to PRODUCT SETUP and right display will be blank.
- Step 2. Press the CHECKMARK. The right display will change to ENTER CODE and left display will stay as PRODUCT SETUP.
- Step 3. Enter the code 1650. The left display will change to SELECT PRODUCT.
- Step 4. Press the desired product button. The left display will change to LONG NAME, and the right display will change to PRODUCT NAME OR BUTTON NUMBER. Use the letter keys to enter the product’s name. Advance cursor with up and down arrow keys. Press ” > ” to advance to next product set up feature.
- Step 5. The left display will change to SHORT NAME, and the right display will change to ABBREVIATED PRODUCT NAME OR BUTTON NUMBER. Enter a four-character product name, which will alternate with the timer while cooking. Press ” > .”
- Step 6. The left display will change to COOKING MODE, and the right display will change to SINGLE SETPOINT. Press ” > ” again.
- Step 7. The left display will change to 1 TIME, and the right display will change to 0:00 OR PREVIOUSLY ENTERED TIME. Use the numbered keys to enter a total cook time. Press ” > .”
- Step 8. The left display will change to 1 TEMPR, and the right display will change to TEMPR. Enter the desired cooking temperature, and press ” > .”
- Step 10. The left display will change to 1 SENSITIVITY. Enter the level of sensitivity, 0-9, for the product. Press ” > .” Make sure to refer to the sensitivity chart in your operator’s manual.
- Step 11. The left display will change to 1 ALARM TIME, and the right display will change to 0:00 OR PREVIOUSLY ENTERED TIME. Enter the desired time in the cook cycle for the audible alarm for shaking. Press ” > .” If set to 0:00, skip to FILTER PROMPT.
- Step 12. The left display will change to 1 ALARM NAME, and the right display will change to SHAKE (defaults first). Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the alarm names.
- Step 13. Press ” > ” to choose to desired alarm. The left display will change to 1 ALARM MODE, and the right display will change to AUTO as a default. To change to manual, use the up and down arrow keys to scroll to the manual alarm mode. Press ” > ” to confirm. When the alarm mode is set to auto, it will automatically cancel the alarm after a few seconds. Manual will require a user’s action.
- Step 14. The left display will change to 1 ALARM TONE, and the right display will change to SHORT as a default. Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll to the alarm tones. Press ” > ” to confirm.
- Step 15. The left display will change to 2 ALARM TIME, and the right display will change to 0:00 as a default. Press ” > ” to advance. Leave the time at 0:00 if a second alarm isn’t required. Otherwise, use the up and down arrow keys to change the time. Press ” > ” to confirm.
- Step 16. The left display will change to FILTER PROMPT, and the right display will show a 0 or whatever the previously set number was. Enter the number of desired cook cycles before a filter prompt is needed. Press ” > ” to confirm.
- Step 17. The left display will change to INSTANT ON, and the right display will show a 5 or whatever previously set number was. These are the number of seconds the fryer heats at 100% once the product button is selected before the controller adjusts temperature. Enter the desired value, and press ” > ” to confirm.
- Step 18. The left display will change to HOLD TIME, and the right display will show a 0 or whatever the previously set number was. Enter the desired time in minutes to hold product before discarding. Press ” > ” to confirm.
- Step 19. Both the left and right display will change to EXIT. Press ” > ” to save changes.
- Step 20. The left display will change to SELECT PRODUCT, and the right display will be blank. This returns you to the main product menu. Exit by pressing the EXIT SCAN button twice to OFF.
