Glastender Cooler Troubleshooting & Error Codes
If you’re truly lucky, you’ll go your whole career without seeing the show-stopping, three-lettered Err code. But the reality is, if you’ve found this article, it’s because the worst has already happened. Error codes are a natural part of life in the food service industry, and the sooner they’re dealt with, the faster you and your cooler can get back to chillin’.
We know your business can’t afford the downtime caused by error codes and the relative confusion surrounding them. That’s why we went ahead and decoded the most common Glastender cooler error codes to help you troubleshoot your way back into business.
Err 1 or Err 3
If either Err 1 or Err 3 is displaying on your Glastender cooler, the most likely culprit is the temperature sensing probe wire has become disconnected from the digital controller (the display screen).
These wires are commonly disconnected during service and maintenance calls. Most likely, the service technician just forgot to reconnect them on his way out. No biggie. This is easy enough to do on your own.
Note: Calling a service technician to reconnect the controller wires is not covered under the factory warranty.
Ath., AthLo, AC1, or AC2
One of two things could be wrong with your machine if any of these error codes are now popping up on screen.

- 2. The refrigeration system needs service - Unfortunately, refrigeration system maintenance and service require a tad more technical knowledge than the space we have here to explain it. You’ll need to schedule a service call if cleaning the condenser coil didn’t resolve the error code.
