Machine Won’t Run or Freeze Down

Machine is in the CLEAN or OFF position | Turn on the machine |
Air flow to condenser is obstructed (air-cooled units only) | Have condenser cleaned. Ensure the machine has 6-inch clearance on both sides |
Compressor isn’t operating | Have the machine inspected and repaired by an authorized technician |
Dasher isn’t installed | Have dasher (ayger) installed by an authorized technician |
Low refrigerant charge | Have authorized technician check unit for leaks, repair and recharge refrigerant |
Product is Too Soft
Causes | Solutions |
Consistency setting is too loose | Consistency control needs to be readjusted |
Consistency setting is at the maximum (red spring) | Have consistency spring changed to a proper one |
BRIX product level is too high | Lower the liquid BRIX level |
Too much alcohol in the mix | Lower the alcohol content |
Product Won’t Dispense
Causes | Solutions |
Power switch is in OFF position | Turn the switch to ON position |
Inadequate mix in hopper. Red MIX LOW light is on | Refill the hopper |
Consistency adjuster is set too firm | Readjust consistency setting |
Carburetor inlet hole is clogged | Have the carburetor serviced |
Drive belt is broken or off the pulley | Have drive belt repaired or replaced by an authorized technician |
Drive shaft is worn | Have drive shaft replaced by an authorized technician |
Drive motor failure | Have motor replaced by an authorized technician |
Leaking from Drain Tube, Above the Drip Tray or Dispensing Valve

Merchandiser Light Flickers When Freezer Cycles
Causes | Solutions |
Not fully plugged in | Make sure the power cord is plugged in all the way into the outlet |
Low voltage | Call an authorized service technician to connect the freezer needs to a dedicated circuit |
