Jade Range Griddle Cleaning

A clean broiler can make a difference in the function of your machine but also in the quality of food that is cooked. Commercial appliances require routine maintenance so that debris doesn’t build-up and cause malfunctions. Below you will find our guide on Jade Range broiler cleaning to help you keep commercial broilers maintained. The following guide is tailored to help maintain Jade Range broiler models KC-24, KC-36, KC-48 and KC-60.

Cleaning Guide

  • Step 1. Disconnect the unit from power - Disconnect the unit from power and ensure that it is off before starting any cleaning. 
  • Step 2. Remove and empty grease tray - Pull out the grease tray from the broiler and empty out the grease.
  • Step 3. Clean grease tray - Using warm, soapy water clean out any leftover residue and be sure to rinse thoroughly.
  • Step 4. Remove and empty smoke drawer - Remove the smoke drawer and empty all of the ashes from it. 
  • Step 5. Clean top grates - Remove any residue or build-up on the top grates by using a wire brush. Make sure the openings are clear and free of debris.
  • Step 6. Wipe down exterior - Clean any marks or residue from the exterior by gently wiping with warm, soapy water. For stainless steel, make sure to wipe with the grain to ensure no spots are left behind.

Ceramic Tile Cleaning

The ceramic tiles should be checked on a weekly basis for any dripping build-up. Always make sure the tiles are cool before touching any. 

  • Step 1. Disconnect the unit from power - Disconnect the unit from power and ensure that it is off before starting any cleaning. 
  • Step 2. Remove ceramic tiles - Remove the ceramic tiles from the broiler .
  • Step 3. Check bottom grate - Check the bottom grate for any build-up or debris in the openings. Make sure to check below the bottom grate for any build-up on the burners. 
  • Step 4. Clean the tiles - Using a wire brush, scrub the tiles to remove any build-up. For stuck-on build-up you can soak the tiles overnight in a bucket of water.
  • Step 5. Reinsert the tiles - Place the tiles back into the appliance. Make sure to evenly space the tiles with 1/2 in. of space between each.
