gloved hand washing down a burner - Jade Range Burner Cleaning Instructions

An important part of maintaining a Jade range is regular cleaning. Like many commercial ranges, these models have a schedule of when things should be cleaned. Learn more about the Jade range burner cleaning instructions for the JBR Series and JTRH Titan Series with us at Parts Town so you can get started.

Supplies

  • Soft, Microfiber Cloth
  • Sponge
  • Mild Detergent/Soap and Water Mixture
  • Stainless Steel Scrubbing Pad

General Jade Range Burner Cleaning

To get started, you’ll want to get some supplies that’ll get your equipment clean without damaging the finish. This means avoiding harsh chemical cleaners and rough steel wool scrubbing pads. Once you have what you need, start with cleaning these components:

  • Flue ways
  • Air passages
  • Burner ports
  • Air shutters

Stainless Steel Surface Cleaning Instructions

Cleaning stainless steel surfaces takes some special care. Avoid using harsh chemicals or rough scouring pads not made for stainless steel. When ready, follow these steps for a sparkling exterior:

  • Step 1. Remove dirt with a soap and water solution.
  • Step 2. Dry the unit with a soft microfiber cloth.
  • Step 3. Remove grease spots or food splatter with a cleanser on a damp cloth or sponge.
  • Step 4. Use a stainless steel scouring pad, not steel wool, to remove any burned-on foods.
  • Step 5. If there are any dark spots, use a powdered cleanser and a stainless steel scouring pad to wipe away in the direction of the grain.

Note: Avoid marring the stainless steel by rubbing the solution in the direction of the grain.

Jade Range Burner Cleaning Instructions

After use, you’ll want to clean the burners and drip pans. Sometimes this requires more than a simple wipe down with soap and water. Follow these steps for clean burners:

  • Step 1. Allow the burners to cool before wiping down with a grease-absorbing cloth.
  • Step 2. Remove the burner plates and set aside to soak in a soap and water solution.
  • Step 3. Remove the drip pan and wash them with the soap solution.
  • Step 4. Use a stiff wire brush to scrub the burner heads.
  • Step 5. Clear out any clogged ports.
  • Step 6. Dry the burners by letting them sit or by inverting them onto an oven rack with the heat set to low.
  • Step 7. Reassemble the range top.
