Lancer Dispenser Keg Replacement
When it comes to Lancer, you can bet you’re getting a high-quality model. After enough servings, the keg will need to be replaced. Luckily, Lancer dispenser keg replacements are easy! This guide covers the under the counter dispenser models.
How to Replace a Keg on a Lancer Dispenser
Follow these quick and easy steps to complete a Lancer dispenser keg replacement:
Disconnecting the Keg
- Step 1. Place the keg vertically in front of the unit.
- Step 2. Close the air valve.
- Step 3. Open the release valve.
- Step 4. Release the air for about 30 seconds.
- Step 5. Close the beer valve.
- Step 6. Pull the release slide and lift up the handle.
- Step 7. Close the release valve.
- Step 8. Check that the 3 valves are closed.
Replacing the Keg
- Step 1. Make sure the keg is cooled for at least 12 hours prior to dispensing.
- Step 2. Place the keg vertically in front of the unit.
- Step 3. Check that all 3 valves are closed.
- Step 4. Check that the beer needle is centered in the keg connector.
- Step 5. Align the air and beer needles in the keg connector with the air and beer holes in the closure.
- Step 6. Place the keg connector on the keg.
- Step 7. Check that both clamps sit under the edge of the keg.
- Step 8. Push the handle down until it clicks and locks into place.
- Step 9. If you feel an obstruction, verify the alignment of the needles.
- Step 10. Open the air valve.
- Step 11. Open the beer valve.
- Step 12. Place the connected keg on the top rack of the fridge.
- Step 13. Dispense beer to test out the connection.
- Note: The first glass might have more foam.
