Lennox Air Handler Troubleshooting: Common Problems

  • Lennox air handler fan not running - If your unit isn’t running, check that there’s power going to the unit. Check the electrical box, then reset the air handler. Also, make sure the unit is on instead of set to “auto.”
  • Lennox air handler fan is starting and stopping or not stopping - Check the settings. If the unit is not on “auto,” then the fan will stay on. Also, check the air filters and replace them if they are dirty.
  • Air is not flowing properly - If the air isn’t flowing properly, check the air ducts and registers. Also, replace any dirty air filters and check the fan in the air handler to ensure the fan isn’t dirty or being blocked by debris.
