Each model features multiple conveniences, including helpful alerts to know when there is a potential issue. Below is a list of common Middleby Marshall oven error codes and screen alerts and what they mean.
Common Middelby Marshall Oven Error Codes
- rSET - This code appears if the oven isn’t heating. It stops heating when the oven hasn’t reached 200°F within 15 minutes. Turn off the oven and wait five minutes before repeating the startup procedure.
- Battery Symbol - When this symbol displays in the lower right-hand corner, the internal battery has to be replaced. An authorized technician has to replace the battery.
- High Control Compartment Temperature - This means the front fan filters need to be cleaned or replaced. If neither is done, the oven will overheat and shut down.
- Main Blower / Combustion Blower - The computer has detected a problem with the main or burner blower. An authorized technician has to replace either blower.
- Control Over Temp - This means the front filters are clogged up. You will need to clean ore replace the filters. On models where the Over Temp light comes on while the screen flashes from “OPEn” to “909F,” this means the thermocouple inside the unit is disconnected. This will need to be repaired by an authorized service technician.
- Front Belt Jammed - The front conveyor belt has stopped working. See if there is an obstruction that needs to be removed and restart the oven. If the front conveyor still won’t move, have an authorized technician repair or replace it.
- Rear Belt Jammed - The rear conveyor belt has stopped working. See if there is an obstruction needs to be removed and restart the oven. If the rear conveyor still won’t move, have an authorized technician repair or replaced it.
- High Temp Error - A “high temp error” occurs when there is a thermocouple or PLC malfunction. Contact an authorized technician to remedy the issue.
